Gretchen Durst Jacobs

Gretchen Durst Jacobs received her BFA from Wright State University in 2000 and her MFA from The University of Cincinnati in 2007, with a concentration in painting — she also attended 2 summer sessions at the New York Studio School. Although Gretchen is primarily a painter she joined the Co-op in 2011 to learn more about printmaking and to expand her art making and imagery. Her work is primarily inspired by the natural world either literally or metaphorically and how it integrates into our lives mirroring back to us things we sometimes overlook, what we cannot and/or would rather not see in order to help us move forward.
